Can Aguero fire Manchester City to the title?

Manchester City have once again splashed the cash, breaking their own transfer record with the capture of Sergio Aguero, the Argentina striker. The capture from Athletico Madrid in Spain is likely to cost around £38m but if he can perform for City in the Champions League and take them all the way to English Premier League title, it will be money well spent by everyone at Eastlands.

Twitter suggests the deal is virtually done

Although the move has not yet officially been confirmed by Manchester City, the fact that the player has been sending messages from his twitter account saying how happy he is to be at City suggests that it won’t be too long until the deal is officially announced. At only 23 years old, Agueor has a big future ahead of him in the game and City have bought a player with great potential and perhaps the talent to make a difference in a tight season.

Football fans will also be delighted at the fact that Aguero has a son with the daughter of Argentinean legend Diego Maradona. Some people love Diego, others hate him but it impossible to deny that he has been one of the biggest names in world football for the past 4 decades and you can bet that the English media will be sniffing him out during the course of the season for input into Aguero’s progress.

What would Carlos say?

Even though the move to Corinthians fell through, you would expect Carlos Tevez to be on his way with perhaps Real Madrid turning their attention to him. It was rumoured that Real had an interest in Aguero but the striker was not willing to change from one Madrid team to the other. In the modern football era, this is a noble stance and one that should be congratulated. However, it is also a very easy decision to make when another club is providing a vast sum of money for you to move them.

You wonder if Aguero had spoken to Tevez about the move to Manchester because you cannot the little striker would have been too positive with regards a move to Eastlands. Perhaps Aguero is looking for different things for a city and he may love the drab weather and lack of Spanish speaking people that Carlos seemed to hate so much during his time in Manchester.
