Samuel Eto’o hints at move to England

Some strikers have a natural ability to be in the right place at the right time and this is quality that makes them stand out from the crowd. There will be a lot of hard work and effort put into their skill and talent but the great players make it all look so effortless and it has to be said that Samuel Eto’o is amongst the greatest forwards currently plying their trade around Europe. Two gaols in two separate Champions League finals for Barcelona, both won and then another triumph in the Champions League indicates that Eto’o is the man for the big occasions.

The fact that he came out and announced that he could be ready to take a crack at the English top flight will have alerted a number of clubs who will be desperate to get him on board. In reality, Eto’o will only look to move to a Champions League because this is where a player of calibre belongs so this means if he moves this summer, there will only be four clubs that interest him. All clubs should be interested in a player like Eto’o but circumstances may dictate that he is not right for everyone.

Will Manchester City entice Eto’o?

Manchester City would love Eto’o and the money will not be a problem for them, so there is every chance he could move to Eastlands. Inter Milan have been long-stated admirers of Carlos Tevez, who has not been slow in admitting he would like an escape route from Manchester, so there is a lot about this move that could make a lot of sense. Okay, it is definitely a case of adding 2 and 2 to make 5 but you would not be shocked to see this transfer taking place.

Arsene Wenger Needs A Quality Striker

Another desperately need a striker to finish off all of their flowing moves and as Eto’o was a huge success at Barcelona, you can see no reason why eh could not be the same hit at Arsenal. Arsenal are probably the closest club on the planet with regards the passing philosophy that rings true at the Camp Nou but they lack in a number of areas. Pressing si one area where Arsenal fall down and having someone to finish chances is another but this could be solved if they were to snap up Samuel from Inter Milan.

Could Drogba and Anelka Exit Chelsea?

Chelsea may not have a manager yet but Roman Abramovic has never needed a manager’s consent to snap up a player. The big January capture of Fernando Torres may suggest a Stamford Bridge move is unlikely but moves could be coming for Drogba and Anelka which would open up a big gap in the team for Eto’o to possibly fill? A Torres – Eto’o partnership could work the magic to take the title back to Chelsea and perhaps see them clinch European glory.

Champions Manchester United are having a summer of strengthening and rebuilding but up front is where they need to strengthen the least so it is likely their funds will be focussed on other areas of the field.

There is nothing set in stone about Eto’o coming to England but with the player saying he would like the chance, some clubs would love to make his wish come true.
