English Deepstack Poker is coming your way
The popularity of poker is continually on the rise and as the final of the 2011 WSOP Main Event comes ever closer, there is a definite buzz about the poker industry at the moment. Even though there have been some bad issues and low points in the year already, there is no doubt that more and more people are being turned on to the world of poker and looking to get involved with events and tournaments. The chance to pit your wits and skill against other players is always intriguing and many smaller events are hoping to fill the gaps that the major events cannot fill.
Poker events grab attention
There is no doubt that acts like the WSOP and WPT are vastly important in taking poker to a higher level and letting people know all about the greatness of the game but it is not as if just anyone can find their way onto the bill at one of these major events. Whether it is location, money or even a knowledge of being out of your depth, there are many reasons why people are just not going to feature in these major poker events. This shouldn’t mean that they cannot enjoy the fun and thrills of a live poker event though and this is why events like the English Deepstack Poker tournament are so important in helping everyone to find their level in the game.
Birmingham welcomes a wide array of poker players
Birmingham is the host city for this event which will be taking place between the 14th and 18th of September. The main event of the tournament has to be the £500+50 event which sees players starting off with a stack of 50,000 chips and a 1 hour clock. The event took place in Luton last year and was deemed to be a huge success. Just fewer than 200 people participated in that event and hopes are high that the numbers will be bigger this year. This is why the event’s organisers have decided to include two opening days with event days 1A and 1Btaking place on the 15th and 16th of September respectively.
With satellites running already in a number of online poker rooms, the excitement is starting to build and this event is one for all the people who think they have what it takes to triumph at an actual poker event.
